Hey bret, there isnt anything wrong with your ski. I was hitting those same numbers with mine. Just gotta spend more money for better top speed... I bought the worx grate.. that hurts top end no matter what you hear.. Riva grate is a better grate for top end...

Hi, i was interested in buying Yamaha GP 1800 next year, like yours, I have heard that the only fault that this motorcycle has is that it cracks the hull where the intake grid is located. I think Yamaha already knows this because of the number of complaints that have come to him, which I do not know if they have already corrected it for the GP 1800 of 2018. Nice ski...any issues with intake grate area leaking? Read some people going mid 70s and higher are having issues.

Just added the Riva ride plate and I started to get some Cavitation. My speedo is now off as well. I may have installed in wrong. No problems until I added the plate. My issues are at top speed now which is when i cant afford for something to go wrong.

the ribbon delete is suppose to be used with a tune and that alone with the tune you have will give you another 1mph. Then you should get a fizzle or riva intercooler and there is another 2mph and less heat soak and better cooling. Also ride plate angle, pump setup affects speed as well. You may be losing rpm if you are running to much pitch on impellar. On a stage 1 and 2 u want a 13/18 pitch especially if above sea level elavation or warmer temps. Also you may want to run a lucky 13 pump cone and if so you take a flapper wheel and open pump nozzle up 1mm to 86mm then use cone with no washers in it. If you hit revlimiter thats set then you put a washer in to lower rpm untill your under limiter. U cant just put mods on and run 80 everyone has to pretty much dial them in atleast once.
